On May 6 and 7, at The Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia, the first Symposium of the World Forum on China to be held outside of the PRC will focus on the new phase of reform that began with Xi Jinping’s assumption of top Party and State leadership positions only two and one half years ago. The far-reaching and still emerging reform programs of the Xi era arose from domestic challenges and opportunities resultant from earlier phases of Reform, and from significant shifts in global economic and political affairs.
Over two days, a total of thirty-two eminent scholars from China and the United States will present their views and exchange their ideas in five panels, on international affairs, economic change, political reform, social transformation and cultural evolution in China.
The ticket price will cover both days of the conference, including lunch and parking, and the processing fee. Transportation, lodging, and other meals are not included in the ticket fee.
